I'm Christina Goffin, a free-lance equestrian event photographer based in the North Island of New Zealand. I've always wanted to take photography further than a hobby with every intention of capturing the perfect shot. Full time, I work as an Admin & Marketing Assistant for one of New Zealand's leading thoroughbred stud farms, Westbury Stud with the aim of making photography a full time business in the future. At this stage, thoroughbred breeding and racing is still my game! On top of equestrian events, I will be exploring the option to undertake glam shoots with riders or horse owners with their beloved companions.
Covid has made things pretty tough, but remaining hopeful!
When I'm not handling a camera, editing images and juggling work life, my time is occupied by my OTTB named Koby (raced as Endorsement AUS 2008) and currently train and compete low level dressage. I've known Koby since he was a yearling breaker, at which time I had only started working at a racing stable as my first job months prior. Needless to say we've been together since and retired to me after significantly bowing his tendon eight years into his career. A year into recovery, he was cleared to be ridden and the rest is history. He's been with me for five years now and have enjoyed every moment.
Photography is not my only passion, drawing and artistry was my first hidden talent and will always be one of my favourite hobbies. Something I may share later on.
Have any questions? I would love to hear from you. Otherwise, I will see you out on the show circuit!
